Urgent vs. Important is the question we are discussing today. Let’s start with a universal fact. We know that change is not easy. As doctors, we see how much people suffer because they believe they aren’t able to change. We want you to know something. You are ALL capable of change.
The Urgent or Important Change Motivators
There are two motivators. One is that the pain of living as you are right now is too great. That is because sometimes you are faced with a health crisis of huge proportions. The other change motivator change, we strongly believe, is this one you need right now. Put your important lifestyle change first, ahead of everything else.
This is a basic training of whole body; health, nutrition, movement, self-care and stress reduction. So, several times a day, whenever is optimal for you, put yourself first. We would like to together figure out what that looks like for you because health is not a “one size fits all.”
It is important to determine what your root underlying causes are for your health ailments. This is something that we can help you to determine. The next steps are personalizing an approach stemming from a root cause resolution standpoint.
Supporting Your Most Important Changes
We will support you to commit to adding great nutrition, movement, and maybe most important, a stress reducing activity. We recommend to use meditation, a bath, and a walk with a friend, journaling or a variation of all those things. Your part is to measure your stress before and after to know beyond a shadow of a doubt what works for you. We know stress kills!
Believe us, you are more able to help other people in your life when you feel better yourself. You can do more when you become more. Don’t let urgent interruptions stop your journey. Know that the most valuable thing you can do for everyone around you is prioritize your health ahead of everything else. You will then be able to show up more, be more, and live a longer and stronger life.
Here’s to your best life, starting this one very important moment, now!
