Stress vs. Support – The Global vs. Personal Crisis

When it comes to crisis – whether it’s the global crisis running in the news feed 24/7 – or your personal health situations… We think it’s time to full stop. 

Whatever we have done in the past adds up to more stress, more illness, endless time lost, doctor’s bills, medication (that poisons us on other levels with side effects and toxicity), and a loss of energy and joy.  The cost of indulging the worry and not putting your health and mindset first quickly breeds pain and illness.

Know this: Your body is a healing machine. One of its most primary jobs, despite everything you throw at it, it simply wants to replace bad cells with healthy cells. 

The truth is simple, many people act out in ways that are not supportive to their health goals because they’re stressed, disappearing into TV news feeds about the pandemic. 

 

Focusing your mind on a place of calm lowers your stress level and supports your healing, on a cellular level.

 

Focused mindfulness (meditation) is finally widely recognized by conventional medicine as providing powerful health benefits, such as reducing blood pressure, lowering cortisol and leveling out blood sugar, improving mental health, and providing an enhanced sense of well-being.

Stress is a vital part of the puzzle. The world of whole-body medicine is working with the patient and, together, looking at where things from, where the deficiencies, and then taking out what shouldn’t be there, putting in what should be there. But ultimately you are in the driver seat. 

There is a trilogy in the development of illness.

  1.     One is a genetic vulnerability to a particular disease or issue. You got to have the gene, there’s nothing you could do about that.
  1.     Two, there’s an environmental trigger that sets it off. Kind of like the straw that broke the camel’s back.
  1.     Three, we often don’t take action to stop it early enough. That one, #3 is where we want you to land.  The one thing you can do every day is take personal responsibility – and listen to your body. 

 

Exhaustion is not normal. Living in pain every day is not normal.  Chronic constipation… not normal. Headaches. Stuffed sinuses. Etc., etc., etc. But we ignore and live with things like these every day. 

These are the warning signs. This is where our body communicates and where we listen and take personal responsibility.
